Recognizing five outstanding women in our community that are providing healing and promoting hope in the field of work.
Women’s History Month (March) is a dedicated month to reflect on the often-overlooked contributions of women to United States History. From Abigail Adams to Susan B. Anthony, Sojourner Truth to Rosa Parks, the timeline of women’s history milestones stretches back to the founding of the United States.
It is our collective vision to inspire, uplift and celebrate women in our community that are leading, influencing and transforming lives through their work. Additionally, our goal is to spotlight a workforce in Mississippi, where diversity and inclusion is no longer a catch phrase but rather, a normal practice.
Operating under this year’s theme, “Women Providing Healing, Promoting Hope.” This theme is both a tribute to the ceaseless work of caregivers and frontline workers during this ongoing pandemic and a recognition of the thousands of ways that women of all cultures have provided both healing and hope throughout history.
We will recognize five women in our community that are providing healing and promoting hope in the fields of medicine, education, faith and business.
The dedication, commitment to excellence and hard work these women display has left an indelible mark throughout the Metro area and our state. Their stellar work within these fields is transformative and will impact the image of our state for decades to come.
