LAKE WORTH BEACH, FL — A person was taken to the hospital after being struck by a Brightline train in Lake Worth Beach on Wednesday morning, according to police.
The crash occurred near Railroad Avenue at approximately 6 a.m., authorities said.
The driver was trying to get around the gates when the train struck the car, a spokesperson from the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office confirmed to Patch. The driver's condition is unknown.
This is the third Brightline train crash in Palm Beach County in the past week. A person was killed in a crash Sunday, and no injuries occurred in another incident Tuesday in Delray Beach.
