NEW TAMPA, FL — A 19-year-old driver died Friday afternoon at the hospital from injuries suffered during an accident on Cross Creek Boulevard. According to Tampa police, the accident occurred at 6:42 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, when the 19-year-old drove a Nissan Altima east on Cross Creek Boulevard at a high speed, crossed the intersection of Grand Isle Drive and struck a Toyota RAV-4. The 19-year-old was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and died at 4:46 p.m. the following day. The driver of the RAV-4 suffered minor injuries.
