Fire Breaks Out In Ventilation System Of Palm River Maaco Shop

TAMPA, FL — There were no injuries reported, but a Maaco body shop in Palm River sustained substantial damage when a fire broke out Friday afternoon. According to Hillsborough County Fire Rescue, crews arrived at the body shop at 9801 Palm River Road at 4:48 p.m. and found smoke and flames coming from the roof. Crews quickly doused the fire and traced the origin to the ventilation system in the paint room.
