Help More Than A Bed sort clothing and clean toys + book donations to help Adoptive + Foster Families get off to a great start! WHAT TO EXPECT: More Than A Bed provides essential items, like diapers, formula, beds + bedding, clothing, toys + books to foster, kinship and adoptive families. Their goal is for every family to get off to a great start on their fostering or adopting journey! We will work together to help More Than A Bed sort donated clothing into appropriate size bins and fold + hang up clothing for families to shop. We will also be sorting through donated toys + books so that clean + gently used items are available to the families and children in their care. KIND NOTES: This is an indoor and in-person volunteer project. Please wear closed toe shoes as this is a warehouse setting. A takeaway snack will be provided for the Kid Volunteers at the completion of the project. Stay tuned for additional details to help you prepare for the day! CAN YOU HELP + DONATE? More Than A Bed is always in need of diapers (size 4 & 5 especially), baby wipes, toddler shoes, 9-month clothing for boys and girls, 24-month clothing for girls, AND size 5T and 6 for boys and girls. If your family is able + would like to donate an item to More Than A Bed, please bring your donation with you when you volunteer. ♥ Crafting Kind Kids is a family volunteering organization that works with a variety of Tucson non-profits to develop and create family-friendly volunteering opportunities for kids ages 5 and up.
