NEW BERLIN, WI — Reports of broken car windows, damaged mailboxes, retail theft, and an arrest after a car crash made up the bulk of logs from the New Berlin Police Department over the past week. Here's a look back at the more notable online New Berlin Police log entries from Feb. 6-Tuesday. Car Windows Damaged Across the City A resident told police Friday morning that someone broke the driver-side window on their car on 13000 Forest Knoll Drive, logs said. A resident told police Friday morning someone may have shot something through their car's back window when it was parked at their residence on 13000 Graham Street, logs said. A resident told police their windshield was damaged on 17000 Salentine Drive early Friday morning, logs said. Police were told someone broke the rear window of a car parked on the street in front of a house on 3400 Vista Granada Drive on Thursday, logs said. Police were told someone broke the rear windshield of a car parked at a residence on 12500 Graham Street around Thursday, logs said. Police were told someone damaged the back window of a vehicle that was parked on 3200 Monterey Drive on Thursday, logs said. Damaged Mailboxes On Friday, a resident on 13400 Cleveland Avenue reported their mailbox was damaged at some point during the day, logs said. A resident on 12000 Manitoba Avenue reported their mailbox was damaged as well, likely at some point on Thursday night, logs said. Theft at Walmart Walmart on 15000 Greenfield Avenue reported a retail theft occurred late Thursday evening, logs said. Theft at Speedway A man walked out of the Speedway at 15555 Beloit Road on Thursday without paying for a pack of beer, logs said. Man Arrested After Crash A Franklin man was arrested on Feb. 7 after a crash near Interstate 43 and Beloit Road for bail jumping, operating after revocation, and failure to install IID, logs said. IID may refer to an ignition interlock device. Harassment Complaint The New Berlin West Middle and High School resource officer investigated a complaint about harassment on social media on Feb. 7, logs said.
