We are Mike's Movers. Right now I need part time but this will quickly shift into full time as we get into March an April, with a ton of hours during the summer. Starting pay is $20/hr + tips. Tips average about $100/week. After 3 months we automatically promote to $22.50 if you are growing and learning. Team leader pay starts at $25/hr. We are located in Spartanburg SC. ***This is a very mentally and physically demanding job***. Our guys enjoy their work and we prioritize them more than anything but we have a great reputation and will not tolerate bad attitudes and laziness that would put that reputation at risk. We are different from other moving companies. First of all we are very small, and that is because I refuse to expand at the expense of quality. It is normal to see movers looking out of shape or old and weak, this is not that team. We hustle and grind. My guys are solid and strong and I will not bring someone on with a crap attitude or work ethic that slows them down. I am looking for new guys because I just fired my top two team leaders for bad attitudes. The next guy up beneath them stepped up and was promoted to $25/hr, and he's killing it. He's up for $27.50 this summer. If you smoke cigarettes, you will not be allowed to smoke on the job. We do not take breaks at any point, except to eat if the job is long enough to merit a meal. We are here to get the job done and get home. I am not a slave driver by any means but these are the standards. Making sure my guys are happy and well cared for is #1 priority for me. A well cared for team that enjoys their work and looks forward to Monday is the best crew anyone could ask for, so I put a tremendous amount of thought and energy into ensuring that.
