Here are the top 3 stories in Madison today: Public Health Madison & Dane County announced on Monday that the mask mandate in Dane County will expire at the end of February. The decision was prompted by a decline in new COVID-19 case numbers across the county. A representative for PHMDC added that health officials have no plans to issue further emergency orders at this time. (WMTV - NBC15)Dane County has received $3.2 million in state funds to fund upgrades to the Alliant Energy Center. The funding comes from the state Tourism Capital Grant Program and is designed to promote economic recovery. The remodel of the Alliant Energy Center will focus on adding electrical infrastructure that was not originally included in the building footprint. (WKOW)Police have arrested a Madison mailman who they say was caught driving drunk while in uniform. The arrest was made on Thursday afternoon in the 1900 block of Atwood Avenue after the driver failed to pass a sobriety test. The suspect was arrested on a first-offense OWI.
