Description

ROSWELL, GA — Officers in Roswell Thursday afternoon were sent to a house near Kiveton Park and Woodstock Road after a 911 caller told police his friend had fired several handgun rounds. No one was injured. According to a statement from police, the man who fired the shots has had previous contact with police. After firing the gun, the man went back inside the home and refused to cooperate with police, authorities said. Police said they did not know at the time if other family members were inside the home with the gun-wielding man. When the man refused to communicate with police, North Fulton SWAT was sent to the scene and, with the help of the man's father, coaxed him out of the home peacefully. The man was arrested and charged with reckless conduct. No further details were available.
