Fire Damages Roswell Apartment Complex, Dozens Displaced

ROSWELL, GA —A fire heavily damaged an apartment complex in Roswell early Thursday morning, displacing dozens of residents. According to the Red Cross, volunteers, working in-person and virtually, responded to the fire at the Creekside at Holcomb Bridge Apartments, which is located at 923 Creekside Way in Roswell. At least 25 apartment units were damaged by the fire, Red Cross officials said. Volunteers have been assisting the displaced residents. "The total number of people affected is not yet known, so far we have assisted 14 families/43 people," a spokesperson for the Red Cross told Patch. The Red Cross is providing residents who need help with emergency aid for essentials, such as temporary lodging, food, clothing and personal care items. Along with providing emotional support, caseworkers are also helping families in the day ahead to get back on their feet with additional recovery resources. There have been no reports of any injuries and all residents have been accounted for, officials said. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
