Description

DANVERS, MA — The Danvers Department of Public Works spent Tuesday afternoon tending to "emergency" pothole repairs on Dayton Street. "The Danvers DPW is aware of the unexpected damage caused by recent inclement weather causing problems," the DPW said. The DPW said early Tuesday afternoon that "plans are currently underway to arrange the emergency paving repair." The Danvers DPW said crews have been out for the past two weeks "actively filling potholes throughout the town" following low temperatures that caused groundwater to freeze, resulting in pavement damage. Residents can report potholes here or by calling the DPW at 978-762-0231. (Scott Souza is a Patch field editor covering Beverly, Danvers, Marblehead, Peabody, Salem and Swampscott.
