BELLEVUE, WA — Bellevue police are searching for at least two suspects after they crashed into an auto shop early Tuesday morning and stole a Porsche. According to police, a white Chevy Cruz slammed into a shop on the 2200 block of 120th Avenue Northeast just after midnight.
Police said another man arrived in a separate vehicle and all three entered the auto shop, and one suspect fled in the stolen car. One man left in the Chevy, and the third left in another vehicle.
Within a few minutes, police said state troopers responding to a crash located the Porsche near a northbound on-ramp to Interstate 405. Washington State Patrol arrested a 31-year-old man at the crash scene on suspicion of car theft.
Police said the plates on the Chevy Cruz pointed them to Fife, where police had just impounded the vehicle after a separate incident, where it was used to ram into a dealership and steal a Ford Bronco.
At least two suspects suspected in both cases were still on the run Tuesday morning.
