BOSTON — An investigation is underway after two airline employees at Boston Logan Airport were involved in a fight Tuesday that resulted in one of them being stabbed, Massachusetts State Police said. Massachusetts State Troopers assigned to Logan Airport responded to a report of an assault on the ramp side of Terminal B just before 1:30 a.m., spokesperson David Procopio told Patch. When troopers got to the scene, they found that two American Airlines employees had a fight, resulting in one of them being stabbed with a multi-use tool, Procopio said. The victim, a 38-year-old man from Lynn was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital alert and conscious, suffering from what police are calling non-life-threatening injuries. Troopers then found Kenric Smith, 34, of Leominster, with a Leatherman-brand multi-use tool on him on the second level of Terminal B, and placed him under arrest for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, Procopio said. Police believe the stabbing was the result of an argument between the two men and that the safety of the public and other employees was never a threat. Smith was arraigned Tuesday in East Boston District Court. No information on bail was released and no other information was immediately available.
