BOSTON, MA — A Boston police officer was arrested Tuesday in connection with a domestic incident involving a weapon, the department said.
Dana Lamb was charged with assault by means of a dangerous weapon.
Superintendent-in-Chief Gregory Long called the allegation "extremely disturbing" and said it will conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.
"The Boston Police Department takes all allegations of domestic violence by employees seriously. Domestic violence is unacceptable in society," Long said in a statement.
The Boston Police Department's Bureau of Professional Standards and the Bureau of Investigative Services are investigating, in conjunction with the Suffolk County District Attorney's office.
