NASSAU COUNTY, NY — A Hempstead man was arrested on Tuesday for robbing three banks across Nassau County, police say.
According to police, Loreto Ferri, 49, robbed three banks in a span of a few days earlier this month.
Police say he robbed a Roslyn Savings Bank in Merrick on Feb. 9, a Citi Bank in Mineola on Feb. 12, and People's United Bank in Garden City on Feb. 14.
In all three cases, police say Ferri handed the teller a note demanding money, then fled with cash.
