Description
BEVERLY, MA — Parents looking to fill their children's February vacation and ensuing weeks with fun and educational activities are invited to check out these two offerings from the Beverly Recreation Department.
The Recreation will bring back its Summer Parks Program for those 6 to 12 years old during its Polar Park week. The week will include indoor games, arts and crafts and socializing at Camp Paradise.
The Polar Park camp will run from Feb. 22 through Feb. 25 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cost is $200 per child with space limited to 25 children.
Registration can be found here.
Beverly Recreation will also offer a fly-tying workshop at Camp Paradise over two nights on Feb. 28 and March 2 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. both nights.
The workshops, which will also take place at Camp Paradise, will focus on how to create an artificial lure, including the tools, materials, supplies and techniques need to create a "fly."
To creative minds, designing flies can be a never-ending puzzle.
All equipment and materials will be provided.
The cost of those workshops is $30 with space limited. Residents can register for that program here.
