MERIDEN, CT — A man was arrested on gun charges Monday who threatened to shoot and kill someone, according to a Facebook post from Meriden police. Nathaniel Falcon, 31, was charged with carrying a pistol without a permit, weapons in a motor vehicle, criminal possession of a firearm, and interfering with police.
Police said they received information last week that Falcon had a gun. Falcon is a convicted felon prohibited from possessing guns. Police said it was reported that he threatened to shoot and kill another person.
On Friday, police located a car that they believed Falcon was driving, but the car fled. Police found the same car Monday on Broad Street and followed Falcon to North First Street. When police attempted to make contact with him, "he grabbed onto the area of his waistband and took off running."
Following a brief foot chase, police said they caught Falcon and found a .380 caliber Taurus pistol on him. He was taken to police headquarters and held on $500,000 bond.
