Do you love children and organic agriculture? We are looking for someone willing to assist with both throughout this season. This role has the opportunity to be full or part-time depending on the right applicant. Part time: Three days a week (8am-5pm), caring for our fifteen-month-old son on our farm. During naps, you’d get involved in the wash station or other areas around the farm. Full Time: If getting your hands in the dirt is of interest to you as well, this role can be a full-time position with three days of child care and two additional days as field or wash-station staff. Child care philosophy: We believe that children are just small adults that don’t know how to do most things yet. We’d like to see our son be involved in safe farm activities and learning play as appropriate. You are a good fit for this role if you: Have previous childcare experience, especially with toddlers Fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19 Are comfortable caring for a toddler in a largely outdoor setting Have a keen ability to accommodate a child’s curiosity while keeping them safe Can switch thoughtfully between going slow (kids need that) and fast (farming is about hustle) Have agricultural experience. Vegetable harvest experience a bonus Are able to be flexible as this role evolves with the changing needs of the farm and a growing child Pay range: $16-20/hour This position will run from Late march through October. Kilt Farm is a dynamic 80 acre Certified Organic farm in Boulder County, Colorado. We grow over 60 different varieties of vegetables for distribution through our CSA program, on-farm sales, and wholesale customers throughout the Boulder/Denver Metro area.
