Eaton Country Club is currently seeking a full-time irrigation technician/maintenance specialist. This person’s main responsibility would be the maintenance of the golf course irrigation system including sprinkler head adjustment and repair, sprinkler head replacement and leveling and troubleshooting irrigation problems. In addition, this person would be able to assist with other aspects of golf course maintenance as needed including course setup, mowing, small projects, etc. This position is a full-time year-round job with benefits including health insurance stipend, 401k, paid time off after one year of service, golfing privilege (FREE GOLF), meal discounts, overtime pay, uniform budget, employee discount on golf shop merchandise, continuing education, opportunity for advancement and dues to local and national associations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned by management: • Install, repair, and dismantle irrigation systems. • Regularly monitor irrigation systems for proper functionality and make the necessary adjustments to ensure proper functionality in a timely and efficient manner. • Prepare ground for irrigation fixes and projects and ensure quality sod replacement. • Skill in cutting and threading pipe. • Skill in using a sod cutter and trencher. • Skill in properly using other light equipment. • Monitor moisture levels across the golf course and water as needed. • Communicate potential problems by informing the Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, or Equipment Manager of any equipment or agronomic issues. Additional Responsibilities: • Must be able to communicate in a professional manner. • Must keep a professional appearance. • In the absence of the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent, must be able to run daily operations at a high level. • Maintain positive relations with all employees, members, and the general public.
