ROSWELL, GA — Sunshine on a Ranney Day, a Roswell-based nonprofit that renovates homes for children with special needs, has opened a home furnishing and decor store, "Sunny & Ranney." The store's official ribbon cutting was held Nov. 12. Located at 109B Oak Street in Roswell, the store will sell excess stock, scratch and dent, samples and gently used furniture and decor from businesses and designers, with all profits going to pay for the nonprofit's home makeovers for kids. Sunshine on a Ranney Day has completed over 130 home makeovers for families in the Atlanta area, which include wheelchair accessible bathrooms, dream bedrooms, in-home therapy rooms and wheelchair ramps/lifts. "Peter (Ranney) and I are amazed at the generosity of so many businesses and good people that have supported this store," said Sunshine on a Ranney Day co-founder and president, HollyRanney. "Our new Sunny & Ranney store is the key to helping Sunshine on a Ranney Dayexpand to help kids beyond Atlanta and to complete even more makeovers each year. We are so excited to share this new project with everyone." Over 60 companies donated supplies or labor to renovate the space in Roswell for the store andall work was done during the pandemic. Sunny & Ranney will be open from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m Thursdays through Saturdays. All furnishings and decor are donated to the store and are sold at discount prices.
