Description

The purpose of the show is to educate the novice on how to prepare their blooms to present it for judging, and compete for prizes. Club members will assist you with bloom identification, set up, entry forms, and placement of blooms by category. Novices can also learn what judges look for in a bloom to determine which one stands out as ‘The Best in Show’. Once judging is completed, prizes are awarded and everyone can view the display of the results. Established in 1937, our members continue on with the tradition of fostering the education of camellia care, propagation and exhibition for generations. On the third Tuesday of the month, our Club meetings offer speakers and demonstrations with many opportunities for hands on experiences. The 2019-2020 Camellia season begins in September and goes through April with programs on gibbing, air-layering, grafting, companion plants and bonsai camellias. We are a non-profit organization.
