Gold's Gym In Sterling Becomes OneLife Fitness After Acquisition

STERLING, VA — The Gold's Gym location in Sterling has permanently closed. The location is now a OneLife Fitness center, the company announced. OneLife Fitness said that the conversion from Gold's Gym was completed on Feb. 1. However, the company plans to invest more than $1 million in renovations and equipment for the gym. Ori Gorfine is the president and chief operating officer of US Fitness, OneLife Fitness's parent company. "We are pleased to be joining the Sterling community, and we look forward to helping everyone in the community pursue their health and fitness goals," Gorfine said. "We have been reminded during this challenging time, that our personal health, both mental and physical, has never been more important and that we need to stay active and to maintain social bonds and connectivity to one another." The new OneLife center plans to add an indoor basketball court, an indoor pool, spa-style locker rooms with saunas, and an expanded kids' club. They are also working on adding new paint, flooring, and signage to the facility. OneLife Fitness operates more than 40 locations, including 20 locations in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. The nearest OneLife locations outside of Sterling are in Brambleton and Reston.
