Hey all, I'm looking to join or form a band, preferably metal, I can't tell you what sub-genre I'm into because I'm too old to know the difference nor do I want to take the time to learn all of them. I play 6 and 7 string, I'm open to whatever tuning you're into. I have gear, gig experience and a decent attitude. Most days anyway. I'm mostly influenced by Sabbath, Priest, Slayer, Sepultura, Fear Factory, hard and heavy but not necessarily fast (but I do enjoy a good thrasher here and there). What I don't do is "shred", sweep, or "djent", but I do find Meshuggah to be goddamned brutal man, Bleed is like...the perfect metal song. I also am not interested in tribute bands, nothing against you guys but I'm not great at mimicking anyone. I'm open to cover tunes but NO Tool or any other Maynard project, I like the stuff but I am average at math. Also, I am (wait for it) 54 years old. Yes, it's shameful that my youthful demeanor is trapped in this 54 year old body, but that's just how it is man. There are members of the 50 + club that are OWNING right now, so hey I can f***ing dream. We don't all look like your dad either. I wanna be loud, make noise and upset persons of faith. Anyone out there wanna do the same? ~Steve
