Description

Press release from City of Fort Worth: February 15, 2022 Dream Park will be closed Feb. 21-March 11 for updates, repairs and cleaning. Since opening in April 2019, Frank Kent's Dream Park's use has exceeded all expectations, and repairs are needed to protect this significant community investment. The Feb. 21-March 11 timeframe was carefully decided on to allow for the greatest chance of acceptable weather, with the least amount of public disruption. The Dream Park repairs, which were discussed and agreed upon in coordination with the original project design team and the contractor, will address repairs to high-traffic areas in need of cleaning, erosion control and alleviation of compaction issues. By completing these updates, Dream Park will continue to safely allow children of all abilities to play together for years to come. During Dream Park's closure, visit the newly installed playground in Trinity Park near the Duck Pond. For another all-inclusive playground, try Patricia LeBlanc Park, 6300 Granbury Cut-Off St. in southwest Fort Worth. Visit the Park & Recreation page to discover the almost 300 parks throughout the city.     Photo: The overwhelming popularity of Dream Park has led to the need for maintenance, repairs and cleaning.     Get articles like this in your inbox.
