OCEAN CITY, NJ — A group of people are being sought after authorities say they stole more than $1,400 worth of groceries from two Acme supermarkets in Cape May County, New Jersey State Police said.
The thefts happened Feb. 1 at the Acme in Seaville and in Ocean City, state police said.
Four men and four women walked into the Acme in Seaville, Upper Township, shortly before 6:30 p.m. and took more than $1,000 worth of items and walked out without paying, state police said.
About 7:15 p.m. the same group walked into Acme in Ocean City and took more than $400 worth of items and again walked out without paying. They left in a white Mazda 3 and a gold Saturn sedan, state police did not have information on the license plate numbers.
