Hello, neighbors! It's me again, Shannon Denney, your host of the New Orleans Daily. First, today's weather: A few t-storms, some severe. High: 75 Low: 47. Here are the top four stories today in New Orleans: The NOFD battled back-to-back fires across the city on Wednesday morning. A single-family household and storage facility both suffered damages from the flames. No injuries were reported and the causes of both fires are still under investigation. (WGNO New Orleans) Plans for a new park in Gentilly are finally taking shape. The 27-acre space will include trails, a playground, and places to sit among other things. The park will also serve as a way to retain water and prevent street flooding. (Gentilly Messenger) The Lucha Krewe had nearly $5000 worth of sound equipment and a generator stolen from their storage unit on Sunday, but thanks to donations from other Krewes, they will still be able to march in the parade this year. (FOX 8 Live WVUE) The New Orleans Police Department has released the video of a gunfire exchange with an armed robbery suspect. The suspect was shot twice and was booked for armed robbery and first-degree murder charges.
