SAN LEANDRO, CA— A magnitude 2.9 earthquake near San Leandro rattled parts of Alameda and Contra Costa counties on Wednesday morning. The quake's epicenter was identified about 2 miles northeast of San Leandro, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The jolt was felt from as north as Concord all the way to Hayward. People took to Twitter to share their experiences, with one person saying a closet door shook. "Definitely felt in Castro Valley," tweeted @RAdranly. "Yes, woke us up in Estudillo Estates," tweeted @MadRose_. "Felt it in Alameda," tweeted @rosie_dargenzio. A magnitude 3.2 earthquake rumbled near San Leandro on the afternoon of Feb. 6. That one was felt in other Bay Area communities including Oakland and Dublin.
