Here are the top three stories in Des Moines today: Wrestling fans from all over Iowa are visiting Des Moines to spectate one of the biggest high school tournaments in the nation. The Iowa state wrestling tournament started on Wednesday morning at Des Moines' downtown Wells Fargo Arena. The loaded day of action concluded with championships for all weight classes. (KCCI Des Moines) The Polk County Sheriff's Office proposed a new plan for Des Moines and all area officers to wear body cameras. They are the last local department without body cameras for the entire department, though some deputies wear them when working in the jail. The cameras could cost up to $800,000. (KCCI Des Moines)The 9-year-old boy who saved his family from a fire in their mobile home received a special honor. Last month, Juan Gomez woke up in the middle of the night and alerted his parents and siblings of a fire in their home. They were all able to evacuate safely. On Tuesday night, in a special ceremony, Gomez was honored by The Saylor Township Fire Department and the Polk County Sheriff's Office, where he received a special plaque and a PlayStation 5.
