Pleasanton Students Qualify For All-State Ensembles

PLEASANTON, CA — More than 40 students from Pleasanton Unified School District have qualified for the 2022 California All-State Ensembles, an audition-only event that will be held at the California All-State Music Education Conference. Students from across the state who qualified for the Ensembles will gather at the conference in Fresno from Thursday to Sunday to perform all-state concerts. PUSD middle school students qualified for the Symphonic Band, Concert Band, String Orchestra, Concert Orchestra, and Choir. PUSD high schools students qualified for the Symphony Orchestra, String Orchestra, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, and Wind Symphony. "This is a testament to the hard work that each of these musicians has put intopreparing a collegiate level audition for these honor groups," Jonathan Grantham,Amador Valley High School's Director of Bands, said in a statement. "Along with the support of private teachers and parents, this is a hard earned honor for each young musician and one forwhich the community can be very proud!"
