Press release from the Chester County Library System: February 14, 2022 As you follow the news, do you wonder about what events led up to the current crisis between Russia and Ukraine? Join us for a brief look back at Russian/Ukrainian relations, the US/EU/NATO response, and possible roads to a resolution. Today's program will be led by Matthew Waldschmidt. While working on his Political Science degree from Susquehanna University (Class of 2020), he also completed the Russian Studies program at Bucknell University. He has also studied at St. Petersburg University, St. Petersburg, Russia. A life-long resident of Chester County and a devoted history nerd, Matthew enjoys everything from reading old Norse tales to catching up with the latest podcast from the Irish Times. Matthew began learning Russian while still in high school with the help of Mango Languages, a free program available through the Chester County Library System. This program is brought to you by Spring City Public Library, in partnership with other CCLS member libraries, who participate collaboratively to bring you exceptional programming!
