Description
DANVILLE, CA — Nearly 1500 Danville residents, business owners and visitors offered their opinions on Danville's Downtown Master Plan Update, the town reported Wednesday. The survey was available from Jan. 7 to Feb. 14, and asked residents and community stakeholders their opinions on how they wish to "live, work, and play" downtown.
Through a partnership with the design firm SWA, the project aims to reimagine public spaces downtown to increase connection and engagement, while balancing the need for adequate public parking, drainage facilities, business accessibility, and essential services.
The town will incorporate community feedback to produce a draft of a DMP in May or June, and the draft will be finalized and approved in the fall. Survey results will be evaluated and posted on www.danvilletowntalks.org.
"We are thrilled with the number of responses the survey received. We know that the downtown is a treasured place, so it was important for us to get this feedback from the community," said Jill Bergman, Business and Economic Development Director for the Town. "We want to thank everyone who took part and encourage people to follow the progress of Downtown Master Plan Update on the project website atwww.DanvilleTownTalks.org."
