NORTH CAROLINA — Popular grocery store chain Harris Teeter has changed its hours during the course of the pandemic several times to accommodate the need to clean or keep store shelves stocked.
As of Wednesday, store hours will revert to closing at 10 p.m. instead of 9 p.m. as COVID cases decline.
The last schedule change happened in mid-January as COVID cases surged.
"We look forward to welcoming our loyal shoppers back into stores after 9 p.m. while continuing to provide excellent customer service," said a spokesperson for Harris Teeter in a statement.
Customers can check their local store opening times using Harris Teeter's store locator.
Prior to the pandemic, some stores were open 24 hours. There is no word on if those will ever go back to opening around the clock.
