Description
CALABASAS, CA — The city of Calabasas' road widening project on Mulholland Highway and Old Topanga Road will be complete in mid- to late March, mayor Mary Sue Maurer said in her letter to the community Friday.
The construction began on June 30, 2021 and was initially expected to end on Feb. 25. The delay is a result of Spectrum equipment relocation and Southern California Edison utility work, said Tatiana Holden, deputy public works director.
Final paving and guardrail construction will begin soon as the last phase of the project, Maurer said in her letter.
The construction, which centers around Calabasas High School, will improve and extend sidewalks and bike lanes on Mulholland Highway and Old Topanga Road, according city documents.
The project is intended to enhance traffic flow and improve safety, according to city documents.
