Requirements to serve on each board varies by position, but Mayor Rosalynn Bliss is urging citizens with a passion for community service to investigate and ultimately apply. (MLive.com) Cleveland-based taco restaurant, Barrio, is set to open this spring in downtown Grand Rapids. The chain currently has 12 locations in Ohio, Michigan, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. Its latest location will be opening this spring on the first floor of the historic Helmer Building in downtown Grand Rapids. (MiBiz: West Michigan Business News) Three hundred more homes with contaminated wells have been slated to receive city water in the Grand Rapids area. The contamination originally comes from waste that was dumped unlined dump sites around Belmont in the 1960s, which seeped into the groundwater.
