Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060. Job Summary This position provides guidance to students to assist with retention and progression to graduation. This position will be a member of the Retention Services team, and will be one of two positions to work closely with students on retention coaching and programming. Responsibilities 1. Tracks students at high risk of stop / drop out to keep students on retention plans 2. Communicates / meets with students to help them remain on track, and serve as a liaison helping the student connect with support functions both within the division and outside the division 3. Works individually and collaboratively to offer responsive retention-focused programming at intentional periods within the semesters 4. Works collaboratively with divisional counterparts to remain current on trends in retention and to provide responsive solutions / programming 5. Works with the Enrollment Services Customer Service Center to orchestrate student communication in the retention space 6. Identifies gap needs and works to create program proposals to fill gaps 7. Works with ESComm and StratCom to develop materials geared specifically toward retention efforts, and student progression Required Qualifications MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher education MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: One (1) year related or transferable experience Preferred Qualifications Previous experience working with students or in a coaching capacity Experience with data and information systems preferable Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities • Ability to analyze data and make meaning • Ability to work within a webbed team and in a role that convenes various divisional partners • Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines • Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills • Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e. Microsoft Office suite) • Strong attention to detail and follow up skills • Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette Equal Employment Opportunity Kennesaw State University is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
