Press release from Tucson Parks and Recreation: February 15, 2022 The City of Tucson Parks and Recreation department will be hosting a Feeding Permit town hall later this month. The purpose of the meeting is to allow the department to engage with groups who currently pull feeding permits with the intent of providing access to food for houseless individuals in parks. The department will be providing updates on how feeding permits will be managed, approved, and new permit-eligible locations identified to distribute as of April 1, 2022. In addition, Housing and Community Development's Housing First department and Tucson Police Department's Park Safety Group will facilitate a dialogue around how outside organizations are a part of our network of resources in the community. Information will be provided about resources available as part of the City's strategy to work together. Organizations that are actively involved in providing services to the houseless community are encouraged to attend. Date: Feb. 26, 10 a.m. Location: Parks and Recreation Administration, 900 S.
