TUSCALOOSA, AL — The City of Tuscaloosa announced on Wednesday that it is accepting resumes for one spot on its Parks and Recreation Board and two positions on the Jemison Van de Graff Foundation Board. Click here to subscribe to our free Tuscaloosa Daily newsletter and breaking news alerts The city explained that the Parks and Recreation Board "directs, supervises and promotes recreation programs that contribute to the general welfare of the residents of the county." The replacement position will serve out the remainder of the unexpired term until Sept. 30, 2023. Board members must attend monthly meetings, live in Tuscaloosa County, and have a knowledge of and interest in parks and recreation. The Jemison Van de Graff Foundation Board works to restore, manage, maintain and promote the Jemison Van de Graff Mansion in downtown Tuscaloosa, in addition to assisting with grants and fundraisers. Each open position comes with a three-year term. As with other appointed boards, members must attend monthly meetings and live in Tuscaloosa County.
