Press release from the City of Huntsville: February 15, 2022 The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) has charged a Spring Hill Tennessee man with electronic solicitation of a child and traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act. Ronald Despain Jr., 39, was arrested by HPD Special Victims Unit (SVU) Investigators in Huntsville on Monday, Feb. 14, for the listed charges. SVU Investigators believe the man traveled to Huntsville to meet a child under the age of 14. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be brought. Anyone with information on Despain is asked to contact investigators at 256-327-3807. HPD SVU Investigators are based out of the National Children's Advocacy Center.
