Competitive Metals is looking for positive, self-motivated, energetic warehouse material handlers to join our growing team. This position will keep you in shape, give you the opportunity to develop new skills, and allow you to interact with some of our awesome customers. Description of Job Responsibilities: Our warehouse material handlers are responsible for being able to locate materials ordered, safely pull and load the material into our customer's vehicles, and have excellent customer service skills to build rapport and relationships with our customers. You will assist with stocking material, cutting material, properly package materials for shipping, delivery, or on-site load ups, and you'll be trained on how to use the equipment on-site (shear, bandsaws, ironworker, etc) Additional responsibilities include: · Understand and follow proper tagging processes · Communicating with the sales department about customer orders · Perform material stock checks · Communicating with the purchasing department about order deliveries and inventory needs · Stocking racks with inventory · Interacting with and assisting our customers with any questions they have · Cut material as needed using a bandsaw, auto-saw, shear, or ironworker · Practice and follow proper safety rules and procedures · Keeping the warehouse clean and organized · Keeping the employee restroom and locker room clean and organized · Additional warehouse projects as needed Experience Required: · Prior warehouse experience · Ability to read a tape measure What you need to succeed in this role: - A positive attitude - Must be reliable – we need to be able to depend on you - Hardworking with a great work ethic - A sense of humor - Effective and detailed communicator - Understand basic math, fractions, and decimals - Ability to work independently and safely - Strives to do their best and the best for their company Position Details: This position is Full Time: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm with occasional Saturdays from 8am - 12pm (we are currently closed on Saturdays) Competitive Metals offers health benefits, a 401(k) matching plan, employee discounts, a competitive base pay, performance raises, performance bonuses, paid vacation time, paid sick leave, paid holidays, and a fun atmosphere.
