Hands on RIT training in an acquired structure under live smoke conditions
This will be a CE Class through BGSU for 8 hours of CE Credit! Lunch is provided and we will have a warming station set up. Please bring extra clothes and come prepared to work! Yeah, it's cold. Nobody cares, especially the fire. We will be going over the down and dirty of RIT training! Drags, Carries, RIT packs, Stairways. We will be using real smoke to create low visibility, real life scenarios! Huge thank you goes out to Scioto Township Fire Department for the open invitation to the first 20 that sign up. Yes it's late notice but it's either late notice or we miss the opportunity!
If you have questions; contact the training coordinator Nick Highley at (614)593-0343
Bring your full PPE (turnout coat, pants, helmet, gloves, hood, and SCBA!)
We are a brotherhood of firefighters desiring to bring back to the fire service that, which has been lost: Tradition, Honor, Pride, and Brotherhood. We do not represent any one fire department and we are not a political organization. We are here to TRAIN, meet the needs of our communities, and offer help to those in need.
