Maj Toure from Black Guns Matter will be back in Boston for the 4th time to discuss how Massachusetts gun laws impact communities of color.
There has been an upurge in gun ownership in America. Black women represent the largest group in new gun owners, purchasing over 9 million guns bought in 2021 alone. With this growing interest in self-protection, we believe it our duty to ensure fierarm safety along with the healing necessary to be responsible gun owners. This event is a combinaiton of healing modality meets Set It Off and Boyz N Da Hood. We yearn to provide new gun owners and those on the fence of getting their LTC an opportunity to examine the traumas related to firearms, examine the political arena in and around racist firearm policies, as well as provide a safe space for creating new options for firearm owners of color.
