Description

Be part of the Longest Suicide Prevention Walk in the Nation. Find hope and healing along the way. Dedicate your walk to the person you lost (This is a fundraiser, and requires you to get donations to walk. You will be required to raise $500 in sponsorships to come. We make it easy, and know that you will absolutely love your experience. Buses, lunches, snacks and drinks, hotel room in Wedover, after party are all provided.) Every once in a while an opportunity arrises to take part in something really special, something that makes a difference, and something that changes you to the core. April 29- May 1, 2022 is that opportunity for you. You will spend 20+ hours walking across the desert for suicide awareness. You will get more than sore legs and feet, blisteres and sunburns. So much more. You will learn that you can do hard things. Things that seem impossible to one can be conquered together. You will learn that pain is only for but a minute. You will see everyone has a story, but we are the authors and we determine how our story goes. You will learn that family isn't just determined by blood. We are people who love each other despite flaws and imperfections, who are more interested in where we are going then where we have been. You will learn to treasure what make you unique. You will learn from the love of a father, mother, wife, husband, aunt and uncle. You will be moved by the love of a child for their love of a parent, or sibling. You will learn from those who lived it, and those who walked it, even those who were brought into our path along the way. You will learn beauty in diversity. You will begin to see possiblities where others claim impossibility. With sharing comes healing, in lifting others comes stregnth. The road of life is long, and at times you can grow tired and want to give up. You will realize the sense of accomplishment that comes from crossing the finish line. It is the relationships that truly matter. Part of your story is written in ink. We are better from the experience, wiser from what we have learned, and ready for the challenges that lie ahead. I mean you will have walked 100 miles in the desert... You can do anything. TRIP DETAILS. We will meet and get registered at Tooele City Hall, April 29th at 5:30am. Here you will receive your t-shirts and swag and get assigned your tour bus. We will hear from some very select speakers to get you pumped up, and to be filmed by some media outlets. From there we walk right out the front doors of City Hall, and begin the walk. We will walk from Downtown Tooele, all the way to Exit 84 West of Grantsville, where we will have lunch. From there we board the buses, and they take us to the frontage road that runs alongside I-80. Where we begin walking again all the way to Exit 44 in Knolls. Then we will board our buses and return to City Hall later that evening. Day 2 will begin again first thing Saturday morning at City Hall. We will board buses and return to where we left off at the Knolls Exit, where we will begin walking again. We will have lunch along the way. We will arrive in Wendover around 3-4pm. Where we will receive a police escort to the Wendover Will where we will take group photos. Then we will check into our hotel rooms and get ready for our after party. Then at 7pm we will board the buses at the hotel and travel to the Historic Wendover Airfield for the after party. The after party will be epic. Sunday morning we will board the buses at the hotel at 11am, and head home. Life's Worth Living Foundation is a Utah based 501c3 suicide prevention non-profit. We have a three-fold mission to raise awareness, educate, and prevent suicides.
