Onigiri (Japanese Rice balls) Workshop
What’s Onigiri, about this workshop
Onigiri, also known as rice ball, is made with white rice that is usually formed into a triangular or circular/oval shape wrapped with a strip of nori (seaweed). Traditionally, an onigiri is filled with pickled ume (umeboshi), salted salmon, katsuobushi, kombu, tarako, mentaiko, takanazuke (pickled takana) or any other salty or sour ingredient as a natural preservative, perfect for a quick snack or a tasty lunchbox treat.
At this workshop, you can get to know how to make Onigiri. Cute, portable and healthy, they're one of Japanese favorite ways to eat lunch on the go.
*This event will require all attendees to show proof of vaccination at the reception of the workshop and to wear a mask during the seminar. The requirements may be varied depending on federal and state regulations.
