An in-depth look at the fashion depicted in the canvases of the NAC permanent collection
The National Arts Club boasts an outstanding collection of late 19th-early 20th century art, the reward of its Artist Life Member program established by William T. Evans in 1909. Join Robert Yahner, Curator/Registrar of the National Arts Club, along with costume designers and educators Raven Ong, Valerie Marcus Ramshur, and Leslie Yarmo for an in-depth look at the fashion depicted in the canvases of the permanent collection.
Robert Yahner was studio curator for American master Will Barnet and has worked with many artists and galleries.
Raven Ong obtained a Master’s Degree in Costume Design for the Theater at the University of Connecticut. His costume design credits include productions for New York Lyric Opera and Carnegie Hall.
Valerie Marcus Ramshur’s work has been seen both On and Off-Broadway, and around the world.
Leslie Yarmo’s costume design credits include the first three seasons of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, as well as HBO’s Rome, and The Ice Storm.
Fashion inspired by the permanent collection is highly encouraged!
