The College of Education and College of Natural Sciences are hosting the annual Celebration of Teaching event on Thursday, March 24, 2022 The College of Education and College of Natural Sciences in partnership will be hosting the annual Celebration of Teaching event on March 24 in an effort to showcase teaching as a meaningful profession and encourage students to explore a career in the classroom at a time when instructors are in short supply. The event will be held on the California State University San Bernardino campus, at the Santos Manuel Student Union (SMSU). The event will feature keynote speaker and Palm Springs science teacher Nichi Avina, who was recently hailed as one of the best teachers in Riverside County and in California. The event will also recognize student teachers—“Rising Stars”—who have been excelling in a College of Education credential program as well as teachers who serve as critical mentors to new teachers.
