Tour downtown looking at the history and architectural culture of Wheaton Saturday, May 21 | 10A | Begins at Museum Steps | $10/adult, $5/child (7 and up) Stroll downtown Wheaton while learning about the events and people who shaped Wheaton’s architecture and history. Tour covers 1.5 miles and takes a little over an hour. Please dress for the weather. If weather may cancel the event, staff will notify attendees through Eventbrite system 2 hours before event starting time. The DuPage County Historical Museum functions as the only institution dedicated to the collection, preservation and interpretation of the material culture documenting the county of DuPage, Illinois. Its principal purposes are to educate the general public through the collection, preservation, interpretation, and exhibition of materials which document the history of DuPage County and its relationship to Illinois and the nation, and to provide local history services for historical organizations and for scholarly endeavors.
