Join us for a day of river restoration! We need your help to plant willows and restabilize the river banks. Ecological restoration is the process of repairing damaged or disturbed ecosystems. The Santa Margarita River Trail Preserve contains several sites where past land use practices have degraded the structure and function of ecosystem leading to impaired habitats. We will be using native willow trees to rebuild the natural structures along the riverbanks and provide better habitat for local wildlife.
