Event Info: Topic: Robin and Dr. Lauren will be sharing about the importance and benefits of collaborative care in the prenatal and postpartum client. Host: Robin Taylor,Owner & Head Coach @MVMNT Studio Robin has always been passionate about the power physical movement has on wellbeing. After having two children of her own, the impact of movement became more important, and more complicated. The old methods of “working out” just didn’t work with her changed body, and she experienced frustrating periods of forced inactivity due to injuries. Through an iterative process of education, testing and good, old-fashioned trial-and-error, she learned better ways to move that supported her body through all of its different stages and phases. The positive and lasting impact of consistent, functional movement, coupled with a desire to help others move and feel better, inspired her to create MVMNT Studio. Her training and certifications include: NASM-CPT, PPN-CES, Diastasis & Core Consultant, FRC Mobility Specialist, FFB Licensed Pregnancy SaF Coach, Precision Nutrition L1, TRX Certified, IBBFA Certified Follow her on instagram @mvmntstudiosd ____________________________________________________________________ Featured Provider: Dr. Lauren Malari -Snyder, Doctor of Physical Therapy and Founder of Thrive PT Fascinated by the art and science of movement, Lauren began her career as a Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2012 focusing on sports and orthopedic issues and quickly recognized the need to give specific focus to pregnant and postpartum people. Since then, she has been working primarily with women who are postpartum, pregnant, active or having any pelvic floor concerns. Her goals are to educate people on the symbiotic relationship between their pelvic area and the rest of their body and to help them be as active, strong and confident as they want to be! She believes our bodies are meant to do more than just be, they're meant to THRIVE! Her postdoctoral studies are focused in the female athlete, functional manual therapy (FMT®), innate postpartum traditions, postpartum doula training, and visceral mobilization.
