This field trip is for Heartland Charter School students and their families. The Adderley School Foundation is offering a FREE educational opportunity to experience the arts to Heartland Charter School students and their parents! This production brings together Fosse dancing, music, acting, and cirque performers. The Adderley School Advanced Conservatory and the incredible company of Le PeTiT CiRqUe join together for an amazing Circus-inspired production of "PIPPIN."As told by a traveling troupe of actors led by the cunning and charming Leading Player, Pippin is the story of a young prince, heir to the throne, who is searching for his own “corner of the sky.” With infectious tunes by Stephen Schwartz and classic choreography from Bob Fosse, Pippin is both a humorous allegory about growing up and a dark tale of the danger of false appearances and empty promises. This production features Heartland's own Maile Merrick as "Catherine!"For those who enjoy dance, this production also tackles FOSSE dancing, which is no small feat, therefore Janet Adderley has enlisted the talented Sabrina Harper on choreography. Sabrina made her Broadway Debut in 2013 in the TONY award winning Musical Revival of Pippin in New York! The Adderley Conservatory and featured performers from Le PeTiT CiRqUe are sure to be a “BIG TOP HIT!”*This event requires all attendees to wear a mask and to show proof of same-day negative covid test or proof of vaccination.We encourage families to turn in a sample that is linked to the field trip that you attended during your next learning period. It helps to ensure that we can continue to provide these trips and their educational value. Heartland field trips are designed for families to attend together. Students need to be accompanied by an adult chaperone. If your student will be attending with another family, please indicate this when you register your student and let the field trip host know once you complete your registration. Any student that is registered without a chaperone will have their reservation canceled unless the family reaches out to the field trip lead and lets them know which registered chaperone will be responsible for their student. **To ensure the health and safety of all attendees, please do not attend a field trip if you, your student(s), or anyone in your household is ill or showing possible signs of illness.***Masks will be required for all indoor field trips per California state guidelines.Please read our refund policy! Refunds will not be given. As a courtesy, if you are sick or unable to attend a field trip, please contact the teacher that planned the event to let them know so they do not wait at the venue for you. You may not send a different family in your place as we will not have a waiver for them. Can I pay using my funds? This field trip is FREE. Does this trip have any height, weight, and/or age restrictions? Recommended for students who are able to sit through a full length 2.5 hour production. Only 2 chaperones per family will be allowed due to limited space. What are the check-in procedures? Meet at 7:30. A few days prior to the event, you will receive your tickets via email. On the day of the event, arrive at the theatre with time to park and check-in with HST Monica. Showtime is 8:00pm. Is there on-site parking available? Parking is available for free along Topanga Cyn Blvd or in the Theatricum lot for $7 per car.. Can we pack snacks or lunch for this event or field trip?
