Island Queen has been selected to become a Netflix series with Bridgerton's director Julie Anne Robinson Riley is an award-winning author of historical fiction and historical romance showcasing the hidden histories of women of color. In addition to publishing more than 20 books, Riley holds a doctorate in mechanical engineering and a master’s in industrial engineering and engineering management from Stanford University.
